(1) The Census Commissioner may, with the approval of the Minister, appoint any of the following persons as a superintendent of census—

• (a)provincial administrators;
• (b)assistant provincial administrators;
• (c)district officers;
• (d)assistant district officers; and
• (e)any other civil servant.

(2) A superintendent of census has overall administrative responsibility of the census in his or her assigned district or province.
